The LBL Draft League is designed to create balanced teams, competitive games, and opportunities for athletes of all experience levels to grow.

HOW THE DRAFT LEAGUE WORKS
1. Register Your Athlete
Athletes register individually rather than signing up as a complete team.
2. Attend the Combine
Players participate in drills and gameplay to showcase their current skills. The combine is not a tryout, and athletes are not cut based on skill level.
3. Watch the Live Draft
Coaches participate in a snake-style draft designed to distribute talent and create balanced teams.
4. Meet Your Team
Team placements are announced after the draft. Coaches then contact their families with practice information and next steps.
IMPORTANT SEASON INFORMATION
COMBINE: October 3rd
LIVE DRAFT: October 5th
1st TEAM PRACTICE: October 10th
2nd TEAM PRACTICE: October 17th
Season Starts: Week of October 19th
Games will be MONDAY/TUESDAY/THURSDAY depending on age
Exact divisions, schedules, and locations will be determined after registration closes.
AGE VERIFICATION
First-season LBL athletes must provide a birth certificate or another accepted form of age verification at the combine.
Returning LBL athletes do not need to submit age verification again unless requested by the league.
Age verification helps us place athletes in appropriate divisions and maintain fair competition.
INTERESTED IN COACHING?
LBL relies on volunteer coaches who are willing to teach, encourage, and pour into the youth of West Texas.
Coaches should be prepared to communicate with families, organize team practices, attend scheduled games, and create a positive environment for every athlete.
